Work Lookahead: The updated completion date for the project is September 21, but may be opened to traffic prior to that date if work is completed ahead of schedule. Over the next few weeks, the contractor will complete bridge approach asphalt paving, guardrail, retaining wall fence, roundabout concrete and asphalt work, shouldering, pavement marking, and landscaping.

Traffic Impacts:

WIS 29 – Off and on ramps at 50th Avenue closed to mid-September 2025. Single lane closures with a speed limit reduction between County X and County J interchanges. There will not be lane closures or hauling on WIS 29 from noon Friday to Tuesday 9/3 for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

50th Avenue – Closed between 160th and 171st Streets to mid-September 2025. Closed east of County J intersection to mid-September 2025. Traffic is utilizing the roundabout and new pavement west of the intersection. Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained throughout construction.

County Road J – Shoulder closures between Highway 29 interchange and 51st Avenue. Traffic is utilizing the roundabout.
